As for myself, this project began as a way for me to consolidate the knowledge and experiences I've gained with firearms over the last 30 years of regularly using them in a wide array of contexts and applications. After constantly seeing so much bad information out in the world (even on well-regarded firearm websites) and breathlessly repeating myself on the same topics over and over, I decided that it was time to start putting it all in one place. A place that could be free of biases, tough guy machismos, marketing sellouts, and politically driven agendas, no matter what side of the aisle they come from. One of the goals here is to provide objective information that's extraordinarily thorough and granular, so that it can provide value to people of all knowledge levels, whether it's someone who's never even touched a firearm in their life, all the way up to experienced veteran shooters.
